Shoe by Shoe

2014
brief / Design and develop a graphic identity for a company, manufacturer, retailer, or service provider who wished to see a solution that strongly featured an animal image. The core of the identity had to be a graphic symbol.
role / Concept & design

duration / 2 weeks.
realisation / After a research trip to a zoo I developed several different animal concepts, with the final outcome being an elephant logo, which also represented a pair of feet. One of the elephants is smaller so that the pair represent the difference in age catered for. I developed the name ‘Shoe by Shoe’ as a play on ‘two by two’ which has strong connotations with the story of Noah’s Ark, a theme often associated with children. I selected the colour for gender neutrality and for a minimal, ‘high-end’ look to meet the aspirations of the client and their desired target market.
